chalk and bubbles

it was such a beautiful day yesterday, that we couldn't bare to be inside. i told mommy it would be the perfect day to break in our new chalk and bubbles. we created our own outer space with our chalk; i made planets and shooting stars then Livi made special outer space rocks. it looked awesome with our 3D glasses on. then i decided to break out the bubbles and that's when the chaos (that means craziness) broke. Livi loooooves bubbles, oh my goodness. she went crazy, she even knocked me down trying to get them. we had so much fun, i don't remember the last time i laughed so hard. Livi & i both threw a FIT when it was time to come inside, but to be fair to mommy we were covered in chalk, leaves & sticky soap. we just wanted to say thank you josh and katie for our bubbles & chalk, we couldn't have asked for a funner afternoon.

yea, look who came by to visit...its Mo. we were soooooo excited to see her again, her family brought her by to give kisses and a thank you basket. WOW, talk about a thank you... we got bubbles, stickers, hello kitty (my favorite) coloring books, 3D sidewalk chalk & all sorts of goodies & the only thing we did was love on the sweetest puppy for a few days. i told mommy we need to save doggies more often- just kidding, having Mo visit was more than enough of a thank you. we told her family if they ever need a baby sitter to please call us, hopefully they'll take us up on our offer.

10 things we can do to help stop global warming

since it is earth week, i thought i would pass on 10 itty bitty things we can all do that will help stop global warming. we should all work together to make a difference in our world, we all have an impact on earth..lets make it a postive one.

replace a regular incandescent light bulb with a compact fluorescent light bulb (cfl)

use the washing machine or dishwasher only when they are full
be sure you're recycling at home
recycle your organic waste
buy intelligently
choose products that come with little packaging and buy refills when you can
reuse you shopping bag
reduce waste: take your lunch in a reusable lunch box instead of a disposable one
plant a tree
buy organic foods as much as possible

happy earth day

to celebrate earth day we went on a field trip to see the disney movie "earth",(i know i have a really brave teacher...24 kids at the movies) at school we have been studying animals and their habitats. the movie let us see that polar bears, humpback whales, and african elephants are in bad danger by the changes in their habitat caused by global warming. we have already watched the "planet earth" videos at school, but to see it on the big screen...WOW!!! the movie seats were huge and boy oh boy were they cozy & the surround sound was coolio, but i had to talk louder to help narrate what was going on in the movie to my friends. just so you know i think everyone should go out and see this movie, it was beautiful and i think it's very important to see what is happening in our world.the movie theater people are so nice they even let us have a picnic in front of the theater, we had the ever nummy cane's chicken tenders. on top of all that we also got to have popcorn, punch and gummies with our movie...whoo hoo. Livi wasn't able to go to the movie, but she didn't want to be left out so she rocked her earth day shirt. it says "save the earth for me" i hope you all had a wonderful earth day & took the time to do something special for our planet. remember it's the only one we have & we need to take care of it!!!

hi ho, hi ho it's off to Nonies' we go

this weekend we went to visit Nonie & we had all sorts of adventures. Nonie's neighbor has a fox living in his backyard & the fox just had babies, so not only did we get to see a real live fox we got to see the lil babies playing. it was so neat, they were so cute, i really wanted to take one home, but i got out voted on that one. Nonie's neighbor also has the biggest garden i've ever seen & he was nice enough to let me take back some onions, potatoes, broccoli & peaches to my friends at school, so we can replant them in our school garden for earth day. then my cousin Tera came over to visit me and we played we also decided to put on a recital after dinner, Livi is really getting the hang of the piano. as you can see we had a rockin' awesome time. i hope you had a great weekend as well.for hours - she's so much fun. for dinner nonie and daddy made homemade chicken & dumplings...nummy in my tummy.

what does a cow say... maggie moo's

ok this is for all my local friends- i found the most bestest ice cream ever!!! it's called maggie moo's and it's in first colony. everyone who works there is super nice. the ice cream is soooooo GOOD- i looooove it, everybody has to go and get a scoop. they even give you temporary tattoos...coolio. i had cotton candy and it was delicious, the best part was my mouth was blue for almost an hour, hee hee. mommy had red velvet, i'm guessing she liked since she licked the bowl clean. so all of you get out & go treat yourself to an rockin' sockin' ice cream cone, Beane says so!!! you don't want to miss out...trust me.

art show

i just wanted to share with you a few of my latest pieces from my art show. the opening was yesterday afternoon and we dined on cheese and crackers with red and white grape juice...fancy! monday is my favorite day of the week because that is my art day, i can't wait for our next session to begin. we are so lucky to have Marjon as our art teacher because she inspires us and we always look forward to the piece we're going to work on next. thank you Marjon, you're the best!!!

found doggie

well on the way to school this morning i saw signs for our lost doggie, so mommy called the owner of the doogie... the owner was soooo happy to know her doggie was ok & couldn't wait to come over to pick her up. we found out her name is mo mo and she is 4 yrs old. her family missed her terribly, so while i'm sad (a few tears were shed when mommy told me) that she's gone i feel better that she has a great home that she's going back to. i have to say she was the best doggie i could ever imagine having, we'll miss you mo mo and if you ever want to come visit you're more than welcome.

easter with my cousins

i'm so happy, the rain stopped just in time for our family easter egg hunt. i had an awesome day with my cousins, i love when i get to spend time with them. this was the perfect day, it couldn't have been better!!! i can't wait till next year.

happy easter

happy easter everyone!!! well it rained last night so the easter bunny had to bring our baskets inside and then he hid over 20 eggs all over our living room, the easter bunny is so sweet and thoughtful. i had a blast looking for all the eggs, i tell ya that bunny sure does know how to hide things. it took me awhile but i finally found all the eggs & then Livi and i we tore into the eggs to see what treasures lay inside. i hope you had a grrrrreat time hunting for your eggs too.

weekend visitor

well we got a surprise yesterday when daddy came home from the store, a doggie followed him home. she is super sweet and friendly and won't leave. there aren't any lost signs posted for her (poor baby) & since it's a holiday weekend everything is closed. plus the weather is awful so we all took a vote and brought her inside. so mommy gave her a bath this morning which she really liked and now she's asleep on the sofa. i really like her the only bad thing i can say about her is she snores...LOUD and she has really, really, really bad gas when she sleeps. i thought Livi was stinky, but she smells like roses compared to the doggie. mommy is keeping the febreze within reach at all times. my favorite thing about her is when she's resting her tongue just hangs out of her mouth, i think it's so funny. well we'll have to see what happens i'll keep you posted.

egg hunt at school

today was our egg hunt at school, it was soooo much FUN!!! eggs were everywhere, in trees, on fences, under slides, as far as i could see there were eggs. Livi brought her basket and got some too. i got so much candy i didn't go to bed till almost 11:00 (mommy thinks i hid some & ate it while she wasn't looking... she's right. hee hee)

newest member of my band

whoo hoo...i finally found my drummer for my band and she even plays the maracas. daddy is already working on our band logo. look out...it's a family affair, watch for us on you tube!!!

windy day

this afternoon it finally warmed up, it was still really windy though. daddy thought it was the perfect day to teach me how to fly a kite. i'll tell you one thing it's a lot harder than it looks, when those kites take off they take you with them. it's a good thing the muscles in my arms are so big, else that kite would have pulled me into the sky with it. i have a feeling with all that running, i'll sleep grrrreat tonight.

tea for two

since it was windy and chilly this morning, i thought it would be a fabu time for Livi & i to have a tea party. we had so much fun... i made muffins and biscuits (just pretend)to go with our tea, super nummy. Livi's favorite part was chewing on everything (the plates, bowls & cups)... i think maybe next time i should have some real food for her.

trash day

today was the "2009 don't mess with texas trash-off." at school we have learned all about keeping the earth clean, so we all signed up together for this outing. we were assigned to a location in sugar land to pick up litter and boy-oh-boy was there a lot of it. we filled up more than 9 garbage bags, we were sooooo proud of ourselves. it was great doing this with my friends, teachers and family, we all know how much of a differance we can make. i just want to tell everyone it's not cool to be a litter bug, so don't be one!!!

happy tricks day

ohhh... i got mommy good today. mommy was feeding Livi & i walked up to her and yelled "mommy, mommy there's a big bug on your head." oh my goodness i've never seen mommy move like that, Livi is lucky she didn't end up with a bowl of food on her head. mommy was jumping around & hitting herself on the head, it took all i had to stop laughing & yell "HAPPY TRICKS DAY!" i think it would be fair to say she didn't like the trick so much, but i sure did enjoy it. later after her headache started going away (from all the hitting) she asked me who told me about "happy tricks day," i told her daddy did. i'm guessing by her reaction it was lucky for daddy he was at work, but i think it would be safe to say mommy might be hatching a trick for him for next year.
