40 pounds

we thought it'd be easier to update here for all of those that know & have been on livi's journey with us. she had her weigh in today & this little kid finally hit 40lbs!!! she weighs 41.5 pounds to be exact. she really wanted to be 40 pounds for mommy's 40th birthday & she did it!!! There was a lot of emotions in the room when the number finally came on the scale, we've been trying to hit this goal for a while! her face just lit up when she realized she was over 40 pounds. we want to say thank you for all of your continued prayers & happy hungry thoughts. she's now celebrating with a big bowl of ice cream!

dissapointed

well i'm not going to lie, 7th is grade is not fun. i'm overwhelmed, don't want to go to school & i'm doing homework for about 4 hours every night. mommy had really been struggling seeing me so miserable... she says i'm sinking & not swimming. i'm in all pap/gt classes & i'm taking spanish for a high school credit, my plate is more than full. because we started school 2 weeks late, we're having to cram a lot of information & it's only going to get worse. my 1st math quiz of the year i failed & that was really hard on me. at night i don't want to interrupt my homework to eat, shower or go to bed. finally mommy had enough & she called my school counslor on thursday. after a long discussion they decided it was best for me to be in regular academic math & science. mommy also wanted to pull me out of spanish & put in art so i'd have some enjoyment during the day. my counslor was against pulling me out of spanish because she knows how important it is to me. so i wasn't very happy about their decision, but i understood where they were coming from & i still get to be in spanish. i'm still upset because everything they're learning in academic math i learned last year, but they keep telling me it's ok to have a breather class. so i have a 98 in math right now & that does make me happy, but i just like to be challenged. on friday i had a test in my new science & i got a 100 on it. i was the only one & the whole class clapped & cheered for me... it was so embarrassing. mommy keeps telling me that i've started dancing from room to room again instead of dragging my feet. i really didn't want to go back to regular classes because i feel like i'm too slow to keep up the pace & i'm disappointed in myself. i know i need to give myself a break & i'm still in pap/gt english, reading & history... i just want to be the best at everything.

It's Ro

Livi's got to meet her absolute favorite person in the world today & it was amazing! She's been watching Rosanna Pansino's Nerdy Nummies channel on YouTube for over 5 years now & she can tell you anything you'd ever want to know about her. Ro is 100% of the reason Livi finally connected with food & we'll be forever grateful to her. A few years ago Ro came out with a cookbook (of course, we made sure Livi got it the day it came out) & did a tour with it. When Ro got to her stop in Houston, Livi ended up being sick with pneumonia & couldn't make it... she was devastated. We promised Livi if she ever came this way again we'd get her there no matter what. Well Ro just released a baking line (which is fantastic) & she's doing another tour to support it. When we found out she was coming to Houston we were so excited, well then Hurricane Harvey hit & she had to reschedule to San Antonio. When Livi found out, disappointed would be an understatement for how she was feeling. No worries, daddy came to her rescue & booked a hotel, pulled her out of school for the day & they took off for San Antonio with mommy bringing up the rear. I stayed home because I can't afford to miss school. In order to see Ro at her meet & greet, you had to go to be one of the first 300 people to buy a baking product in-store on the day of the event. The you'll receive a ticket at the check-out to meet & take a photo with Ro later in the day. Since the event was being held at Walmart & its open 24 hours a day, daddy decided to get their at midnight to see if that would qualify for the day of. it didn't & they hadn't even got the shipment of her baking line in yet. so they told daddy to come back at 7 in the morning & that's when everything would be available for sale. they were up by 6 from all the excitement & daddy was there at 7 to start shopping. He got Livi the poop emoji molds, the heart molds, cookie cutters & the funnest sprinkles ever. After he was done & had their wristband, he was going to go back to the hotel to pick up mommy & Livi. Well then he noticed a lady was in line for the meet & greet at 1. When Ro first gets to the store she takes a selfie with all of the people in the front of the line. Well he decided he couldn't leave either, he wanted Livi to be in that selfie! He made friends with some of the people that were in line & they promised they'd hold his spot while he went back to the hotel to pick mommy & Livi up. While Livi & mommy were waiting for daddy,
Livi was so sweet, in the hotel she wrote down the speech she wanted to say to Ro & rehearsed it over & over. We also made Ro a magnet (mommy forgot to take a picture... sheesh) with her Nerdy Nummies hearts as a background & her famous chocolate chip cookie face in the shape of a heart on top of it. Then on the back we used a Texas shaped whole punch & stamped out her logo making sure her name was in the Texas. This was Livi's speech... Hi! My name is Livi. I am so excited to finally meet you. This is a special gift for you. This is a magnet. It has your name on the back in a Texas shape for you to remember your Texas trip. You are better than Santa Claus! When they got back, Livi made friends with the girl in front of them & daddy set up Nerdy Nummy videos on the iPad for them to watch to help pass the time. When it was almost time for the meet & greet to start, daddy went out to put some things in the car. Talk about perfect planning because right when he went outside the Ro's bus pulled up. He called mommy & mommy announced that she was here & all the little girls went running outside with their signs to wave at her. Finally after waiting 6 hours, it was Ro time & everyone was about to burst excitement! Then all of a sudden there she was walking around the corner, smiling & waving! Then it was time for Ro's selfie & Livi got in it... yay! Daddy had to lift her up because at 1st all you could see was her forehead, but thankfully she got in it & daddy was able to move his head so he was out of it. Livi was 3rd in line to meet her & she was just trembling from joy & nervousness. This is her number one person, her idol right in front of her & she was just trying to take it all in. Ro greeted her with open arms & it was beyond precious. Livi's voice was shaking when she was trying to talk to her, but she did so so so good! She pushed through all her anxiety to live her moment that she'd been waiting for for a very long time. Livi wore her "perfect together" shirt just for Ro & Ro told her how much she liked it. Then it was time for them to have their picture taken together & I don't think Livi's smile could have been any bigger. Livi also brought her cookbook just in case & guess what... Ro signed it! hoe cool is that?!?! She even gave Livi some stickers & then it was time to say bye so she could move on to the next fan. Livi just stood there & watched her meeting & greeting for quite a while, she just wasn't ready to leave it all yet. She also couldn't speak for about 30 mins she was just so overwhelmed, she just stood there clutching her cookbook smiling. Then she waved good bye one more time to Ro & went outside to take lots of photos with Ro's bus because it's the coolest bus ever.  Ro we love you so much & thank you for being such a bright shiny light in Livi's world. You are so beautiful, kind, patient & funny. Livi will never forget this day!!!
Do you spy Livi with your little eye?!

Cramer Quarter Horses

The other day Cramer Quarter Horses held a fundraiser for Sole Loved. There was yummy BBQ, delicious gourmet cupcakes, horse riding (livi & i rode horses not ponies for the very 1st time & it was amazing... we loved it), horse painting, bouncy houses, zip lining & more. The best was it was free for everyone, we just asking for a pair of shoes to donate if you could. It was an amazing day & we collected over 400 pairs of shoes!!!
