we miss kris, noel & jonah already

first of all we want to wish everyone a very merry christmas! it’s been such a joy having kris our elf on the shelf around this year.  last night on christmas eve kris listened for santa's bell & when he heard them it was time for him to fly back to the north pole until next december 1st. we have had so so so much fun with kris & can't wait to see him next year. boy, do we miss him, it's not going to be the same without looking for him every morning. here is some more of crazy mischievous things he he did while he was with us...
day 21: the elves brought us a super special cookie plate & milk jug for us to put out for santa! we can't wait to use it.
day 22: the elves got into the chocolate chip stuffed with oreo cookies we made today & it looks like they really really enjoyed them. they even used christmas tree ball decorations to drink their milk from.. which we thought was adorable.
day 23: looks like kris is showing noel & jonah how it is here down in the wild wild west. where on earth did he find handcuffs or gun that tiny?!?! it doesn't look like noel or jonah are ready for all of this just yet... yikes
day 24: of course it's christmas eve & the elves really decided to make the most of it. they got 6 of us sharing one bathroom that morning because no one wanted to disrupt the insanity in the 2nd bathroom.
day 25: we found a letter from kris in our santa letter carrier that said "the time has come to say goodbye. we've had so much fun, but please don't cry. next time we see you all, you'll be a little taller so i suppose that means we'll look a little smaller. remember this year, while we're apart to be kind and friendly & to follow your heart. listen to your parents & your teachers too. even though you can't see us we'll be watching you! we left you a good bye friend to find on your tree who will report back to me.
we found the cutest itty bitty elf on our tree that we've named bubbles. so we better be on our best behavior... sheesh!

merry christmas to all & to all a good night

christmas eve service

all of us kid dancers & the awesome church band
guess what this year livi & i were asked to dance in our church's christmas eve service... all 3 of them!!! we couldn't believe & were so excited to be a part of it. typically it's the staff kids that dance in the service, but this year they extended it out to a few other kids to help spread the joy. we had 2 nights of practice that were 4 hours long making sure we knew all the dance moves to our 2 songs. livi & i weren't dancing on stage stage we were assigned the aisles so people could follow us to know the moves. i was the leader of 4 of us on our aisle. it was so cool seeing how the service comes together & how much work goes on that most people don't even know about. the the best part is us kids opened & closed the service... how awesome is that. mommy knew how crazy it was going to be on christmas eve so she came to one of the rehearsals for a bit to get some photos & a few videos so we could post it here!
well today we were dropped off at church at noon & didn't leave till after 7. it was the funnest day ever! in between services we got to play games, ride scooters & have the whole church as a playground. they catered food for us & we had everything you could imagine to eat including tons of sugar! we loved dancing for hundreds of people & really helping them get into the christmas service... hopefully we'll be asked next year too!
on the way out mommy got a picture of  livi & i. she was so proud of how hard we worked & that we took care of each other so well.

christmas adam with kylie's prayer

tonight we went to serve the homeless with kylie's prayer, every year the evening before christmas eve (christmas adam) a huge group always goes out with all sorts of supplies (sleeping bags, blankets, clothes, toiletries, prepackaged food) to give the homeless so they have their own kind of merry christmas.  kylie's prayer is a christian ministry dedicated to sharing the love of Jesus Christ with the homeless of downtown houston that was started with a 5 yr old's (kylie) prayer to help the homeless. now a few yrs later, the last saturday of the month a group of people meet together to help serve kylie's mission to spread the Word and Love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to the homeless, through distribution of supplies, food, love, and prayer. there were over 40 carloads full to the brim, everyone wanted to make sure that the homeless knew they were not forgotten this season... it was AMAZING! since we're still getting in the groove serving in fort bend county we just had the regulars serve instead of making a big announcement & having 50 people show up. don't worry we let people know tons of different ways to help in their community instead. a girl scout troop we're working with collected over 40 books with crayons & wrapped them for us to hand out to the children, isn't that awesome?!?! we went to the 1st motel & served about 7 families with much needed clothes, coats, snacks, toys, books, socks, shoes & lots of love! mommy had chirstmas music playing from the car with windows down so everything was more festive.
At the 2nd motel we have a "conference" room that they let us set up in. they even had a christmas tree set up so livi put all the toys & wrapped gifts under it for all the kids, it was so cute! our friend, lori, made a cake & cut it into slices to pass out. we also brought bags of candy cane bark for everyone too. these families we've gotten to know pretty well over the last 5 months so its so wonderful seeing & loving on them. finding out how they're doing & if they're moving on to getting a home of their own again. if you'd like to find out more about kylie's prayer or how you can serve please click heremerry christmas to all.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me…” Matthew 25: 35-36

awe mommy

we decided to make gingerbread cookies for santa this year. mommy loves christmas tree cookie cutter so she made a lot of those before she noticed they look just like the poop emoji... we're sure it was "accident." 💩💩💩

boys & girls club of houston

this morning a few of us went to the boys & girls club of houston to help with their santa project. we also brought all the new toys we collected last night from the food truck to pass out! so every family that came in had to check in one at a time, then the children went to have their photo taken with santa & were given a stuff animal by him. all the stuffed animals were donated by petco, isn't that cool. from there each family went into a big room where we were waiting for the with a big bag stuffed with brand new toys for them to have presents to open on christmas based on a card that said how children were in the family & their age. they also were given rolls of wrapping paper so they could wrap the gift.  then once they had everything we helped them out to their cars & if they needed help loading up we were there to help with that as well. one guy came in 1st thing in the morning before the event started to donate over 12 bikes & it was amazing. one mom completely lost it when she received one to take home to her daughter. she got all of us crying she was so thankful & there were huge hugs from her all around. this is why we love doing the things we do because there's no greater gift than spreading joy & hope!
