splash kingdom

 yesterday we went to the coolest place ever... "splash kingdom", which is a big water park that is AWESOME!!! we had sooooo much fun, in the center there is a huge castle (for younger kids) with over 10 slides coming out of it & crazy fountains everywhere, a lazy river, a wave pool (loved it) & then they had slides that were as high as the clouds, but those were for big kids like over 10 yrs old. we were there for over 4 hours & it was my best most favorite day of my life! we spent most of our time in the castle area, sliding all the slides. my favorite was the biggest one, it was red & had a loop in it, i went down it down it at least 30 times... really i did, you should see the muscles in my legs today from going up all the stairs! livi  was in love with a mushroom fountain that had tons of water coming down all the time. she would run in & out laughing & screaming at the same time, it was really funny, she had people around us laughing. at one point we decided to take a snack break & had a lovely big bowl of dippin' dots... whoo hoo, seriously this day couldn't get better! sadly all good things have to come to a winding down point & it was time to pack up, head home & for livi to pass out in the car with her milk straw still in her mouth. after we got home &  cleaned up we saw that mommy was a lovely shade of lobster red, i don't think that what the color she was aiming for, but that's what she's stuck with. don't worry livi & i covered her with aloe vera, but poor mommy!!!

mabank rodeo

 saturday night the rodeo was in town & i've always wanted to go to a rodeo, so we (nonie, help, mommy, livi & i) went. earlier in the day we went to the rodeo parade, so we got to see all the horses up close! this was my very berry 1st rodeo & i loved it. they had calf roping, barrel racing & buckin' broncos!!! my favorite was when the cowboys & cowgirls went over the barrels, they were super fast! they even had a really funny clown out there to distract those crazy horses (he only got charged at once) & he did a really good job. in the middle of the rodeo they had a 6 & under calf chase in the arena, everyone really wanted me to do it, but i was to nervous. then livi said "i wanna chase the baby moo" but by the time mommy got down there it had already started, livi was beside herself because she wanted the baby moo so bad. so we have to come back next year for livi to do it, we promised her! i have to admit i was a lil disappointed because there wasn't any bull fighting (riding), but next year i'll just have to twist daddy's arm to go to the houston rodeo & see it... we know that won't be hard!

road trip

 daddy has been working soooooo much lately & it makes us all sad since we don't get to see him very much. so mommy & daddy thought this would be the perfect time for us girls (livi, mommy & i) to go visit nonie. so right after my last day of vbs we hit the road. i knew it was going to be an awesome trip because we started it with lunch from mcdonalds & adele on the stereo... my favorites!!! we said hi & bye to sam houston (the big staue), stopped at buc-ees & finally convinced livi to take a nap & then we were at nonies... whoo hoo!!! we even played our favorite game... how many police cars do we see on the way & can we tell mommy in time for her to slow down (she has a bit of a lead foot), no worries she only had to hit the brakes once.

big apple adventure

all week i've been at vacation bible school (vbs) having an awesome time. this is my 1st year & i can't wait to go back next summer! all week we've been talking about how to tell everyone about Jesus & learning some amazing songs about him. to celebrate vbs we had a family night musical called "big apple adventure" so we could share everything we've learned this week with our family & friends. and you know me (star in the making), i love to perform on the big stage!!!

art supplies

my pop decided i needed a special treat for graduating kindergarten & for my surgery, so he asked me what i would really like to have. i told him water color pencils with paper, oil pastels & some molding clay, i have them in art class but not at home. my pop went crazy!!!! he got me my water color pencils with paper, oil pastels & molding clay but then he also got me 3 books on how to draw, this amazing sketch & drawing set and my very own beautiful sketch pad.  pop thank you so much for all my art supplies, i looooooooooooooove them!!! i'm so, so, so happy i can't wait to get inspired!!!

fresh feet

fresh feet powder

 we have a ritual we do every time daddy goes to work & it's called "fresh feet." see daddy always works at least 12 hours at a time on his feet & by the time his shift is done you can imagine what his feet smell like... STINKY! he isn't allowed to take off his shoes unless he's by the bathtub & can wash his feet right away. so now before daddy puts on his socks & shoes he puts fresh feet powder on his feet so they'll be nice and fresh & smell good. so we all sit with daddy on our green "fresh feet" rug, put our feet together, daddy sprinkles all of our feet (livi & i always giggle because it tickles), then we all say "rub" & we rub our feet together to let the powder soak in. i know it's goofy but it's something we look forward to & it keeps us from being sad that daddy has to leave for work. i love being part of daddy's routine before he has to go bye bye.

because of my surgery i'm not allowed to do to much for a few days & since the pain has really kicked in i don't feel like doing much of anything anyway. but there is only so much tv a girl can watch, so yesterday i was really itching to try some sketching. i went in my playroom to start moving & positioning things in a way that inspired me to sketch. mommy & daddy were speechless when they what i was doing & then when they saw my sketch they really freaked out, they couldn't believe all the details i put in. mommy just stood there looking like a goldfish with her mouth opening & closing because she really doesn't understand how i can draw the way i do because she can't even make a straight line. then daddy was laughing hysterically & clapping because he's  so proud & doesn't even know what to with me.

thank you tooth fairy

guess what the tooth fairy brought me last night... $20 dollars, yes $20 dollars!!! i'm rich, i'm rich!!! oh my goodness, i can't believe how much money i got, there was so many one dollars that my tooth pillow couldn't shut! before i went to bed last night i told daddy that i wanted to write the tooth fairy a note letting her know how special these teeth were, so daddy helped me. after we finished writing it we wrapped it around my teeth & put it in my special tooth pillow. boy, i think tooth fairy thinks my teeth are more special than i do, i'm still in shock! livi was really excited about all the money too so i gave her $3 dollars, she keeps running around yelling "look at my money, look". so now my big decision is deciding how much i want to spend & how much i want to save, but for now i'm just going to keep counting it!

my oral surgery

whew... talk about a day!!! i had my oral surgery this morning & it went very well, thank goodness. mommy & i got up very early & all i had to do was brush my hair & teeth. yes i went in my jammies & slippies, i figured after what i was going to go through i might as well be comfy! i even brought a stuffed animal (it's really old, it was mommy's when she was a little girl) with me that i got to cuddle with during my surgery. then we were off, everyone was so super sweet & nice to me, they made me feel very comfortable. when it was time to go back, they let mommy come too to help get me settled in, i was very thankful for that. first they put a goofy hat on my head ( i liked that) then they hooked me up to all kinds of monitors & i had to have the oxygen thingy put in my nose (i don't like those) to give me oxygen. then they had to stick me 5 times to get an iv started, that was awful. i was trying so hard to be brave & not cry but it was not easy at all!!! it was really, really, really painful! dr. eklund felt so bad he gave me kisses on my forehead & told me how proud he was of me & i was one of the bravest patients he has ever had! then mommy left & it was time for me to take a lil nap, after about 30 mins it was all over & i was lighter 2 teeth that i did not need! recovery wasn't much fun for me either, one of the medications i got made me a wee bit hysterical. i would try to talk but then i would start crying & i could not stop, then i would get scared because i didn't know why i couldn't stop crying & i would cry even harder. finally i calmed down enough to go home, so nurse becky put me in a wheelchair & wheeled me out to the car & gave me a huge hug. when i got home & saw daddy the stinkin' waterworks started all over again, poor livi didn't know what to do so she just cried with me... talk about drama!!! i took a 20 min nap & i think i must have slept the rest of the medications off because then i was back to my smiley goofy self & scarfing down ice cream. i feel so much better now, i just have a little discomfort but i'm on pain medication continually for the next 24hrs, so that's helping. the one thing that i've having a rough time getting used to is all the stitches in my mouth (yuck), but the'll be gone between 5-10 days! while i was having my surgery daddy & livi made me "get well" signs & hung them all over the house, there's even one on my bed. mommy, daddy & livi also got me the cutest nightgown to wear when i got home so i'd be nice & cozy and they even got one to fit my polar bear so we look like twins. then this afternoon my tia' liz brought me a pint of my favorite ice cream, maggie moo's cotton candy!!! i have to say i thought nothing would be better than having permission to eat ice cream all day, but after 8 bowls i'm ready for anything solid. oh well i have a few more days till that happens, but at least i have the best ice cream in the world in my freezer. now i'm being a couch potato & watching movies that daddy rented for me (i made him a list) & getting ready to have a smoothie. i can't wait to go to bed tonight with my 2 teeth under my pillow & see what the tooth fairy will bring... i'll keep you posted!  again thank you so much to all my friends & family who sent happy thoughts & prayers my way.

well tomorrow morning is when my oral surgery is going to happen, i've been fine about it till last night. i had 5 nightmares it was so bad mommy came & woke me up so we could talk about it. i'm just so scared because i don't know what all is going to be happening or what  kind of tools they're going to be using in my mouth. so mommy & i talked about it & we decided the best thing was to make today awesome so i could try to cast my worries aside! my day started out with going to art class & working on my paper mache elephant, nothing is more relaxing or calming like being in art class.  after that we went to my momo's so i could see her & get lots of kisses with a special homemade tortilla on the side. then we all packed up & spent the afternoon at the pool... whoo hoo!!! for dinner mommy made my favorite spaghetti with meatballs so my tummy will be nice & full, since it'll be a few days before i'm back to eating solid foods. to top off the whole day my friends came by to give me a beautiful bouquet of flowers & a get well balloon, talk about making me feel special & loved! now it's off for some tv time & a late night snack before bed... i know i can work in some cookies, i totally have the sympathy vote on my side. i'll keep you posted on how tomorrow goes.

well today was the last day of kindergarten & i got my report card & it's official i can now say I AM A 1st GRADER!!!

end of the year kinder program

 this morning was my end of the year kinder program; we watched a slide show of our year in pictures, received folders that had our school work throughout the whole year & a kindergarten certificate & i also got a certificate for perfect attendance!!! i still can't believe kindergarten will be over tomorrow, i'm going to miss my teachers & friends so much!!!
