the other day we went to the fort worth zoo & we had a grrrreat tim
e. i love seeing all the animals, my favorites were the penguins, elephants, giraffes, birds & of course the zebras. livi loooooved the zoo also, she really liked the alligators, monkeys & the fish but her favorite was the choo choo train...she wanted to stay go on & keep going & going & going. i think the funniest thing i saw was the sleeping kangaroos-did you know they lay down when they sleep? at the bird exhibit we compared my wingspan to see what kind of bird i measured up to (mommy and daddy say it was equal to a cuckoo bird) but really it was a barn owl, silly mommy and daddy. while we were in the bird area daddy a
nd i went into a big bird cage exhibit where i was able to catch a bird on my feeding stick, that was coolio. i think we saw almost every 
animal under the sun & then some. i tell you my feet were sooooo sore, we walked the whole zoo...for you who have been there you know it is HUGE. of course our trip wouldn't have been complete without stopping for some dippin dots...mmm, mmm, good. all in all a great time was had by all & i can't wait for our next visit to the wild kingdom.

today at school, i celebrated my birthday early with a pirate party. i couldn't sit still all day i was so excited. daddy, mommy & livi came after nap time to get the party started (not that anyone slept, we were ready for cake) & they had all the fixins' for us to become pirates for the afternoon. mommy & i went to maggie moo's weeks before & had the most AMAZING ice cream cake ever created just for me. i don't know how laurie does it, but wow she makes awesome cakes... thank you laurie, i loved it! my friends made me the sweetest birthday banner & we had to hang that up together to officially begin the celebration. with the banner up we all got settled down to have nummy in your tummy cake, the best part was all of my friends singing (screaming) happy birthday to me. after cake we all went to mommy's table because she was in charge of the pirate tattoos & you have to have at least one to be a real pirate. then it was on to daddy to get our pirate eye patches, i tell you we were looking like a band of scurvy pirates by now. we were ready to head outside where we had a treasure chest full of booty waiting to be smashed open. we all took turns trying to open it, but it took my big, strong daddy to break it open. there was treasure galore... rings, necklaces, toys & most importantly candy!!! after we had sorted thru all the booty & decided what we wanted it was time to sail the seas & look for our next adventure. all in all we had a grrreat time & this has been the best birthday party ever!
every year in october we have a fall festival at school & the best part of the festival is we have a fashion show. we get to design a costume that we wear down the runway, it's so awesome. i've already worked on my 1st sketch of my design, it's looking pretty amazing i do have to say. mommy already took me to the fabric store (sooooo much fun, i wanted to buy everything) to get all the materials i need (so far), because i just can't wait to start working on it. i'll keep you updated on how it's coming along & don't worry i'll post a picture of me in the finished product...i know, i know can you handle the suspense.
tonight my daddy made homemade fried catfish & i couldn't wait to try it. i really liked it until daddy told me, i was eating catfish, i stopped chewing and asked "daddy, am i eating cat or fish?" he told me it was fish, but it was called catfish. i refused to eat anymore, you can't be to sure. next time he'll keep it simple and just tell me its fish.
the other night after dinner, as i was clearing the table & mommy was washing the dishes
, livi started yelling at us so we looked down & there she was in the dish washer. she decided she needed a job to, so she crawled in all by herself & was ready to load the dish washer. since then she's taught herself to unload the spoons when mommy is putting away the dishes, half of them end up in her mouth & need to be washed again, but she's learning.

the other night mommy was trying to feed livi dinner, but livi was watching daddy & i fill up my pool and she wanted out there!!! so mommy finally gave in & brought livi outside with us & before she could blink, livi had climbed into the pool with me with all of her clothes on. it was sooooooooo funny, boy when she wants something she finds a way.
this weekend we met nonie & helpa for a weekend of fun & sun in galveston, i had a great, great, great, great, grrreat time!!! we spent one whole day at the beach (it was livi's 1st time & she loved it) we swam a lot, played in the sand, had a picnic, swam some more & helpa brought his metal detector so we could look for treasure & guess what we found...a dime! then we went back to our condo & swam some more in the pool, what can i say we loooooove being in the water. there were some times when we couldn't go outside because it was really casty out so we played board games, i showed nonie some of my ballet moves & of course we watched a lil football(we live in texas what do you expect). we also ate sooooooooooooo much seafood...we had crab, crawfish, catfish, shrimp (prepared about 5 different ways), oysters & calamari, it was nummy in our tummies! we went shopping on the strand, you can find anything & everything there. of course livi & i had to visit their ice cream parlour & test out their chocolate ice cream...yes it was delicious. all in all, we had the best time ever & i can't wait to go back. nonie said we're going to have to make this a yearly tradition, she has four votes from us... yes, we'll be there!!!
