fun with christmas presents

i think it's safe to say we were all really good this year because we all got spoiled for christmas. we got everything we asked for & more! i really wanted cruiser skates & i got them. learning to master them has been a bit tougher than i was expecting, but we've all gotten quite a few laughs on how coordinated i am. livi's been wanting my old training wheel bike for forever, but with some new upgrades & she got it & is rocking it like a she was born to ride.
one thing mommy can't get over is this wreath i made her. i've been saving coke bottle caps for over a year & would never tell her why... now she knows.
she's also in love with this sweet coffee cup that sadie got her & she's putting it to good use every day!
speaking of sadie she got daddy these awesome boston terrier socks to go with his brand new vans & he's rocking it. he's so in love with his new shoes that he wears them every day, he's even slept in them.
one of livi's favorite things is shopekins & she got almost everything choppiness for christmas from shopkin bandaids to shopkin legos to shopkin bingo to shopkin season 4 baskets to her absolute favorite game shopkin headbandz. her & mommy look hysterical everytime they play it, but they're having a blast & that's all that matters.
two of the most popular presents is what's the funniest to everyone because they are so old school! i got a 2015 version of the poloroid camera & i'm obsessed with. i can't believe how awesome it is, you take a picture & the picture comes out right then!!!
then we got nonie a hand set to plug into her cell phone so it's like a phone used to be a really really long time ago. nonie is always either putting you on mute or hanging up on you by mistake so we thought this would be the perfect gift for her & it is... she loves it!
in our stockings livi & i both found gift cards to our happy places & we couldn't wait to go shopping with them. first we went to toys r us & livi found a hair dresser play kit that she couldn't believe she found. she loves to play do our hair but never has the tools she needs well now she does! then we went to barnes & noble so i could find something & did i ever. i got over 12 books (2 different series i've been wanting to read) for christmas & i still found more books. i love greek mythology & i found a book that covers all the gods & how they're related & everything in between... it's so amazing.

a message form mommy & daddy

we're wishing you a merry christmas & a beardiful day!

we miss kris already

first of all we want to wish everyone a very merry christmas! it’s been such a joy having kris our elf on the shelf around this year.  last night on christmas eve kris listened for santa's bell & when he heard them it was time for him to fly back to the north pole until next december 1st. we have had so so so much fun with kris & can't wait to see him next year. boy, do we miss him, it's not going to be the same without looking for him every morning. here is some more of crazy mischievous things he he did while he was with us...
day 16: kris turned our bananas into minions!!! it was definitely fun to show my friends at lunch time that i had the funnest bananas in the cafeteria.
day 17: silly kris went for a ride on our grass reindeer & brought back a friend.
day 18: kris brought us back the cutest book from the north pole about how the elves help santa deliver his presents in 24 hours with fun facts about santa.
day 19: one of the things livi looks forward to every year is seeing what kris is going to do with our milk. kris can not i repeat can not drink regular milk from a plain jane cup, he always has to elf it up. this year he turned his milk glass into a reindeer with chocolate milk & some fun crafts. of course he had some holiday red oreos on the side.
day 20: oh my goodness, i don't think mommy has ever been this  frustrated with kris before. she woke us up with her ranting & raving about how impossible it was to pee. of course we both ran into the bathroom to see what was going on. kris had toilet papered the whole bathroom & it was a HUGE mess. we couldn't use the bathroom, brush our teeth, was our hands or take a shower... we of course loved it!
day 21: so star wars has been a huge part of our lives this month & can you believe livi & i have never ever even seen one of the movies! well kris decided that needed to change asap & brought us the boxed set of the first 3 movies released over 30 years ago!
day 22: kris sent us on a scavenger hunt by hiding 10 candy canes all over the living room. it took us a few hours but we finally found the last one!
day 23: kris decided he couldn't take looking at the mason jar full of cookie ingredients just waiting to be made any longer. so he left us a little note informing us it was time to bake them because he war tired of drooling. so we were all up baking cookies at the crack of dawn so he'd know we took his request seriously. we even have enough to leave out for santa... yay.
day 24: i think kris may have been going a little stir crazy waiting for santa this year because he decorated our christmas tree with hangers. he even made a sign that he stuck himself to saying "just hanging around until santa gets here!" he is so goofy, but pretty clever!
day 25: kris brought the whole family monster jam tickets for a treat to start off our jammin' new year. thank you for all the fun &  excitement you brought us every morning. we'll be counting down the days till we see you next year. have fun in the north pole!

christmas adam with kylie's prayer

tonight we went to serve the homeless with kylie's prayer, every year the evening before christmas eve (christmas adam) a huge group always goes out with all sorts of supplies (sleeping bags, blankets, clothes, toiletries, prepackaged food) to give the homeless so they have their own kind of merry christmas.  kylie's prayer is a christian ministry dedicated to sharing the love of Jesus Christ with the homeless of downtown houston that was started with a 5 yr old's (kylie) prayer to help the homeless. now a few yrs later, the last saturday of the month a group of people meet together to help serve kylie's mission to spread the Word and Love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to the homeless, through distribution of supplies, food, love, and prayer. there were over 40 carloads full to the brim, everyone wanted to make sure that the homeless knew they were not forgotten this season... it was AMAZING! we can honestly say there has never ever been that many people that have gone out to serve with kylie's prayer. to be honest us regulars where overwhelmed with tear by their love & joy for wanting to go out with us. ms. lori & mommy gave a speech & said a prayer over us before we all of us went out & they had trouble speaking through their tears of thankfulness. everywhere you looked was a sea of people, it was incredible. we know someone who has heard about us on facebook made a page about tonight on facebook & invited tons of people to come out to help... boy did they ever. we're all so thankful for her help in getting the word out because we couldn't believe all the things we had to pass out... over 20 pizzas, buckets of friend chicken, christmas goodie bags filled with candies, our hand made scarves, sodas and waters, books, blankets, hats, clothes, shoes, socks, toiletries, christmas cards, stuffed animals for the kids & last bit not least LOVE was given and received by all. one family even brought a little christmas tree that they plugged into their car so the homeless could have a beautiful tree to look at while picking out item they needed. one family bought tons of coloring books for the children with crayons & they wrapped each one so the children would have presents to open. it was so wonderful to see their eyes light up when they saw that the gifts were just of them... that was my favorite part of the night was getting to pass those out. there are just so many ways to help & if you'd like to find out more about kylie's prayer or how you can serve please click heremerry christmas to all.
all of us regular kiddos that go out every month posing

ready to spread christmas joy

the last couple of days we have been making scarves, writing notes in christmas cards, & putting together goodie bags for houston's homeless with these sweet friends. we have a blast rotating to all the station so we each had a turn at putting our love into what we were making. we were at other friends houses & they have the sweetest puppies like we do & they even wanted to help. don't worry we took plenty of pizza breaks, hot chocolate with extra marshmallow breaks & some play time breaks to even out all our heard work. but now we are ready to spread some christmas joy tomorrow night on the streets of downtown houston!
sweet bella wanted to be wherever we were & help in any way. she'd sit at the kitchen table & cheer us on when we were tired of writing. she's even lay on the scarves we were cutting to hold them down for us to make it easier to cut.
lucy was so funny, she wouldn't get off mommy's lap. mommy was having to make scarves around her while livi distracted her. when livi would go off to do something else lucy would come up & steal the scarf mommy was working on so mommy would pay attention to her instead. we weren't much help because we were laughing so hard at how cute lucy is.
