living water international- guatemala

it all started one day with a conversation about water at school, my teachers did a little research and told us that the people in Africa need to walk about 3 - 7 miles to collect water. it didn't take long before we were talking about taking money out of our piggy banks to send to Africa to help them get bottles of clean water. then we learned that there are people all over the world that need clean water & now we're on a mission to try & help.

we did some investigating to learn about water wells, some of us thought that wells were just for making wishes! but as we continued to read and look at pictures, we saw that wells have deep holes that go down in the Earth to find clean water. the most amazing part is there is a company called Living Water International & they go all over the world to build wells for people so they can have clean water! here's their link, so you can check out how wonderful they are & everything you need to know about the water crisis & how you can help... http://www.water.cc/.  my mommy & daddy are so excited about my & my friend's commitment & passion for wanting to do something to help these people & guess what... our church works with living water international & they are planning a trip to go to Guatemala to build a well in october. my friends &i are so happy because my daddy has signed up to go build a well because we've inspired him sooooo much& he wants to help too! we need to raise $850.00 by july 2nd to help get my daddy  to Guatemala, so he can help build a well for the people there to have clean water instead of dirty water. did you know bad water kills 2.2 million people a year, every 15 seconds a child dies from dirty water & we want to do something about it! we appreciate any donation & thank you for your support & wanting to make a difference. we'll keep you posted on our progress!
