i finally finished my first piece in my new advanced art class yesterday & i'm so proud of how it turned out!!! it took a very long time to do this painting but when i picked out this piece it just made me feel special. when i saw this picture in a book i felt like i had to paint it because it was so pretty. i knew i was going to learn new techniques & that made me very excited. my favorite part was painting the grass bacuase i loved doing all the layers of it. i already started drawing my next piece & it's going to be of a carduelis cucullata, they're very beautiful birds. since starting my new art class i've been really inspired by nature, it just calls out to me because it's so beautiful. livi & mommy came with me yesterday to class & since i was there for a couple of hours, ms. marjon let livi do some paiting too. when it was time to leave, mommy went to get livi's piece but ms. marjon told her "you can't take that home, i'm going to put that in the next art show", maybe we can get livi in art classes next?!
