look what mommy caught

mommy went to take out the recycling, when all of a sudden she opened the door  & was whispering "I NEED THE CAMERA... FAST FAST FAST!" there was a humming bird hanging out on our screened porch, but then mommy saw the poor lil guy was stuck. so she very carefully got him down & then he was just hanging out in her hand, it was amazing!!! he would try to beat his wings (i've never seen anything move so fast), but one of them wasn't working too good. we have a plant that hummingbirds love right by our back porch, so she set him in it to see how hurt he was. he almost fell out of the tree & that scared him & he was trying to fly off but he was flying into walls & a door because his wing wasn't working right. so mommy held onto him a lil longer to  let him rest a while & she was talking to him & he was talking/chirping back, it was so cool. did you know hummingbirds are softer than a kitty cat?  then she tried setting him down again & he did much better, he stayed in the tree for a lil while, then he tried to fly again & he made it to the next higher tree... yay!
