today was lunches of love 4th annual "walk of love & 5k fun run" to help raise awareness of childhood hunger, as well as funds to help expand their program. we had already been planning on walking, but the student council decided to put group together to participate... so we all hopped over to my student council group. the coolest part was all the proceeds from our school store went towards the sponsorship of our team... we raised over $840.00 dollars enough to feed 1,176 children!!! let me tell you it was a cooooooold morning, but we had an awesome time walking to help end childhood hunger... one step at a time! there was tons of people out there participating in the walk, people out there cheering us on & people passing out water, fruit & lollipops. you knew you were at a party because they had coach rice (our p.e. teacher) as the dj & we were rocking out. at one point coach rice had to get something & left me in charge of the dj booth... so fun! i'm so glad we got to be a part of this special day & we can't wait till next years walk! if you'd like to learn more about lunches of love please

That is such a worthy cause and you both (and Paul) did so well at it. It looks like you are having so much fun in spite of the cold. It does help when you know it is for a great, worthy cause AND you have so many friends involved in the same walk that you know and can hang with. Not only are you doing something wonderful for less fortunate but you are also building wonderful memories with your friends, your sister, your dad, and strangers that can become friends and part of new memories. I like the numbers you wore, they were big and easy to see. My favorite picture is the 4th. from the end where there are three of you and you guys are striding on out there. That is a neat dog tag you get for participating. The picture of your dad and Livi looks like it was snowing and it all stuck in his beard! That is snow isn't it??????
