ok everyone, we've sold $8,000 in bracelets thanks to all of you & your support! that's 350 bracelets people!!! isn't that amazing?!?! the huge back to school event (hope on the brazos) that we partner with & provide the shoes for is this saturday so we've got to go on 3 massive shoe shopping trips... whoo hoo! our 1st shopping trip it was ms. stacy, ms. lori, livi, mommy & i and we were shopping for the boys shoes. we filled up 3 carts full of tennis shoes in all sizes & colors. we had no idea what we were doing, how much money we had or how many shoes we had throw in the carts. we were so nervous that had already spent all the money we collected & all of us were sick to our stomach when we got to the check out line. when we checked out we had 125 pairs & tons of money left to spend... phew.
so the next time we went shopping we recruited a few more friends & filled up 6 carts of girls shoes. we had the best time ever. the manager of walmart came over because word was spreading like wild fire that something was going down in the show department. when we told what we were doing, she gave a $75 gift card to use towards our purchases. then when we were checking we got lots more crazy looks & lots of questions. a lady was so moved by our story she handed us $20 which was all the money she had in her wallet. there were lots of happy tears between the adults. when we unloaded & separated all the shoes at our event location we saw that there was still a few sizes that needed a bit more. so off we went again for more shoes! in our 3 shopping trips we have bought 464 brand new pairs of shoes for children in need. our hearts are beyond full right now & we never imagined this would be happening! so from the bottom of our hearts we're sending another HUGE thank you!
