turkey trot

 today was my school's annual turkey trot which is also know as the american diabetes association school walk, we raised over $5000.00 dollars this year...whoo hoo!!! we were divided into our school grades then we walked around & around & around the outside of the playground of my school. after walking we all went to the blacktop for some fun activities. the top money raising class teachers bowled with a frozen turkey as the bowling ball & knocked over 2 liter bottles that were the pins. it was the funniest thing ever! the teacher who knocked down the most pins won a turkey to take home for their thanksgiving feast. then we had a turkey call contest & each class in each grade had a representative that had been working really hard at perfecting the turkey cluck.... it was hysterical! then the top raising students got to have a turkey chase where they chased our principle (who was dressed like a turkey) in a 10 yard mad dash. after that it was time to dance & we had an awesome dj who played the best songs ever. of course no turkey trot would be complete without my favorite... chicken dance, we were sooooo goofy & having a blast! who knew turkeys were so fun?! i can't wait to do it all again next year!
