hojarascas

today i have a playdate with one of my besties & since livi was staying home, momo decided it would be the perfect day for them to make hojarascas. hojarascas are traditional mexican cookies that are made just for special occasions because they take hours & hours to make, but holy cow are they worth all the hard work... they are the most amazing, delicious, buttery, melt in you mouth, nummy in your tummy cookies you'll ever (i mean EVER) have! momo only makes them about twice a year so we'll all be fighting over who gets to have the most & we're at our sneakiest behavior trying to figure out ways to get at them. livi & momo had a blast making them & did a lot of "taste testing" to make sure they were coming out just right... lucky ducks. don't worry i made them both promise me there would be some left over for me & thank goodness they held up to their promise. i'm sorry to say i won't be including the recipe because it's all in momo's head & it's top secret, but i can tell you the most important ingredient is all the love she puts into them!
i got to cut out one before i left
livi on her 4th one & look at her eyes closed she's enjoying them so much
