ok, today has not been a great day... our poor sweet sadie had to get stitches. mommy was getting ready to come pick us up from vacation bible school & went to take sadie out before she left. when sadie came to her, mommy thought she'd gotten into some kind of red candy. when she leaned over to get a closer look she saw that it was gelled up blood. when she looked even closer she saw that sadie's had a big gash above her shoulder & you could see all they way to her muscle. of course mommy freaked out, thankfully daddy was home so off they rushed sadie to the vet. before they left though, daddy wrapped up sadie's wound to help stop the bleeding & protect her until they got to the vet. we're so thankful daddy is a nurse & knows what to do in emergency situations. mommy had a good friend pick us up & we played at her house, not knowing what was going just thinking we were having a last minute playdate. in the meantime sadie was getting sedated & stitched up... our poor sadie wadie woo. as soon as she was out of recovery, she was put in a "lampshade" to keep her from getting to her wound. they got her into the car & immediately came to pick us up so we could give her some extra loves. when we got home we spoiled her rotten with new toys & treats. we figured out that sadie ran into a nail sticking out of the fence & thats what cut her so badly. so daddy went through the entire backyard hammering every nail he could see, he felt so awful about it. sadie was pretty out of it the rest of the day.
the next day she was coming back around & we gave her some small breaks from her lampshade. livi & i decided to wear it so she wouldn't feel like she was the only one suffering, she really was happy about that. don't worry she's on the road to recovery & is going to be just fine!
