goodbye goodrums

one of our favorite neighbors family's is moving away & we're all so sad. mr.mike was the manager of sugar land (so we always got inside info which was cool), but now he's going to be the city manager of coral gables, fl. so in true broken oak fashion we had a goodbye cul de sac party with lots of food, fun & games! the best was a water balloon toss that ended up with the parents attacking the kids with surprise hidden water balloons they had hoarded away. there was not a dry person left by the end of it & it was complete craziness, but the best kind. it was the perfect send off for the goodrums.
 we'll miss you so much mr. mike, ms. jessica, mckenna, mckayla & bryce, but we know you're going to love florida!

    It is always so hard to lose people you have come to know. like and do things with. Learning about loses is bah humbug bad BUT it is also a reminder to listen and observe and enjoy even harder the things and people you have. Now in this case you did not lose them forever like if they had died, and can stay in touch with FB, email, phone etc. and always hope to see one another again. Looks like a very big party for them so I am sure they were well liked and are being missed by many.
