yay, this is the morning i've been waiting for... my friends & i got to do the morning announcements at school today!!! my school started with the 5th graders & worked their down to the kindergartners & my class was the very last class to do it. as my teacher mrs. handy says "they save the best for last" & today was the last day so instead of 3 of us there was 5 of us (clayton, dhruv, gabrielle, olivia & me), talk about a party. all week i've been nervous so mommy & daddy have been practicing what i was going to say with me. i think they were more nervous than i was, so this morning i picked mommy to come with me (daddy told me she would be crushed if i didn't ask her... what could i do) & off we went to the main office with my friends in tow to go help ms. guffey with the announcements. so we started off with saying the pledge of allegiance then we go right into the pledge of allegiance to the texas flag... don't worry i have both of them memorized! then we helped with the birthday announcements, the lunch menu, the jokes of the day ( my favorite joke was: why was the baseball team so hot? because they didn't have any fans. ha ha ha), the principals principle, then it was time to introduce ourselves & tell them a lil bit about us (i told them i liked to ride my bike for exercise while wearing a helmet of course, my favorite author is betty mcdonald of the ms. piggle wiggle series & when i grow up i want to help old people & be a fashion designer) then it was time to break out our dance moves for funky friday after that we got to give a shout out to our friends & leave everyone with a thought of the day! it was so much fun & we all did an awesome job, i can't wait to do it again next year.
