west campus expansion

the emergency center at daddy's hospital opened 2.5 years ago & has been busting at the seems ever since. west campus ended up being busier than was ever expected & seeing almost the same amount of patients as main campus every night! well beck in august  NFL quarterback matt schaub and his wife laurie presented a $250,000 donation, as part of a $1 million pledge, raised through their GR8 Hope Foundation, that was used to expand the emergency center!  this week, matt and laurie schaub cut the ribbon on our newly expanded emergency center at texas children’s hospital west campus. the additional 10 rooms, will allow daddy & his co-workers to continue to provide the best possible care to their patients. thank you to the schaub family for your support!
here's a peek in some of the new rooms before anyone else has seen them, they're all texas themed!
on the same day as the ribbon ceremony, daddy was given a certificate that was a congratulations on his nomination to receive the daisy award for extraordinary nurses! yay daddy, we're so so so proud of you & we know you're the best nurse ever!

  1. That is a wonderful gift to the emergency center! This shows dedication from the Schaub family and the GR8 Hope Foundation to their community. Ten new rooms is a lot of expansion. You got your million dollars’ worth. The Daisy award nomination for Paul is wonderful. When will you know if his nomination is accepted and he receives the DAISY award? I went to their web site and think what they are doing is great for the morale of nurses everywhere. I really like the stone award and how it is made. Oh, could you post some more pictures of Mrs. Schaub, that would be good for my morale! 
    Love you,
