4th grade swim class

at dickinson elementary water safety is very very important. so in 4th grade all the students have to take a 2 week learn to swim class at the lcisd natatorium to be certified by the american red cross. every morning for the last 2 weeks my class loaded up on a school bus & swam for an hour (without our teacher) learning all the strokes & ways to float that you can imagine. i'm so excited because now i can swim in the deep side of the pool, i can also dive off the diving board into deep water & know how to come up. i've always been terrified of the deep end & now i love it! today was our last day & i'm now learn-to-swim level 3 which was the highest you could be after 2 weeks... yay! i can't wait for summer time because i'm much more confident than i've ever been in the water!
