today to celebrate our school's book fair we got to wear our jammies & slippers to school. since it's still really chilly livi & i wore our super warm cozy robes instead of coats.
then in the morning we got to cuddle up with a pillow, blanket or a stuffed animal for a read-a-thin where got to read for an hour. it was so nice to get out of our desks & take over the classroom to read... we loved it! look at some of the classrooms from around the school...
then tonight we had author & storyteller extraordinaire jackie mims hopkins come for our family reading night. she is a really really REALLY good author, some of her books are 'the horned toad prince', 'the three armadillies tuff', 'the goldminer's daughter', 'prairie chicken little' & more. we didn't want her story telling to end she was so fun, we were so lucky she came to our school.
we love that we have 2 book fairs a year because we get to stock up on some really awesome books. mommy & daddy can't say no to books, plus it allows ms. press (our librarian) to purchase new books for our library & reading incentives rewards! i already have books to read for the bluebonnet club next year!
