1st day of school

well today was the 1st day of 6th grade for me & it was a day full of changes. instead of having mommy take me to & from school everyday... i'm now riding the bus!!! i was completely terrified of that but i'm so happy that there's 6 girls on out cul-de-sac that ride it with me. we're going to meet every morning at the end of my driveway & walk down to the bus stop together so we're always together. 6th grade through 12th grade all ride the bus together so it's pretty crazy, but we walk a little further to catch an earlier stop so we can at least sit together. our good friend amanda is a sophomore in high school & she takes care of all of us, she's the best. now that i'm in middle school mommy can't walk me in to school, so we have no pictures of me at school which is tough on mommy but i'm a big 6th grader now. i have to say being in middle school is going to take some getting used to, we have 7 periods with 7 different teachers in 7 different classes.... ahhh, so scary. the 1st day was confusing but really good & i'm feeling more confident. it is tough not having all my friends with me, but i'll make new ones too.

as soon as mommy knew we got off the bus, her & livi were out the door to meet us. the whole way home livi was asking question after question without taking a breath & without giving us time to answer. she was so excited for me & couldn't wait to hear all about my day! 

after watching us walk off to the bus stop it was time for mommy & livi to head to dickinson to drop livi off at 2nd grade! livi was ready to go, mommy was having to speed walk to keep up with her... she was ready to get her day started! after livi was all settled in there was a sheet for her to color until class began. mommy wasn't ready to leave yet, but with her bing the only parent in there livi kept telling her she was ok & she could go! mommy couldn't believe how excited she was to! livi loved going to the cafeteria for lunch & walking down the familiar hallways. her favorite thing about her 1st day of 2nd grade is how wonderful her teacher is... she LOVES her! you can see how awesome her day was as she's walking out of school with her good friend talking about how great their day was. 

with how crazy our morning was because it was so different for all of us, mommy is so sad she didn't get a pic of livi & i  together! we were all running in different directions & now that we're in different schools we have different schedules & it's just super different. i know we'll get the hang of it by the end if the week... hopefully!
