our thanksgiving feast

almost every year daddy works on thanksgiving so we have our thanksgiving feast a few days later. we usually go to nonie's for that but with our crazy week we decided for the 1st time ever we'd host thanksgiving! unfortunately nonie & helpa got sick & couldn't come, we were so sad. but we couldn't let all the food we bought go to waste so carry on we did. mommy didn't get many pictures because we were all so busy prepping, stirring, mixing, cooking, baking, frying & finally eating but she did get a few. mommy & livi tried making helpa's famous sweet potatoes but they didn't turn out near as good. they did put in a good effort & the best part was when livi was caught putting more marshmallows in her mouth than the sweet potatoes! daddy decided to go big since this was our first time cooking a turkey. he put in all out there & fried out turkey! everyone but daddy didn't think this was the best idea he's ever had because we though for sure the house would catch on fire & we'd be eating a burnt turkey with the firemen picnic style in the front yard. of course daddy proved us wrong & made the most delicious turkey any of us have ever had & nothing caught on fire! momo & tia liz joined us & they brought rolls, green bean casserole & ritz cracker pie. momo celebrated our success with chugging the rest of the sparkling apple-grape juice & it was awesome. i'm so thankful for having such a goofy fun loving family that always makes sure we have a grrrrreat time together!

  1. Well, I have never had ritz cracker pie, matter of fact this is the first I have ever heard of it so you will have to tell me if you like it. Is it sweet? I would like it if the filling was yellow squash and onions, or pork chops with potatoes and onions that's for sure. It looks like you were handling the stove duties while Livi was STUFFING her FACE with marshmallows! Your Dad looks like a real chef with his apron and "cooking hat". Is it a "driver", "cabby", "duffer" or "ivy" hat when he is not using it for a chefs hat. It looks like he knows what he is doing and the results would support this. Go Paul! Glad everyone had such a good time and that Momo was ready to celebrate this days success. You do have a wonderful goofy family and I am glad you know it and realize what a blessing that is. Love you - Dino Pop
