glasses or no glasses

the other day mommy was scheduling my annual eye appt when livi said she was ready to have her eyes checked also. she's been with me every time i've gone & she's always been scared by all the different tests they've done, but she decided she was ready to tackle it. we even practiced puffing air into her eye like the machine does so she wouldn't be surprised. so yesterday was the day. i went first & my prescription needed a little tweaking so i could see better. so i get to get new glasses... yay, but nerve-wracking trying to find ones i like.

so after my eye exam i finally decided to be brave also & get my eyes dilated. i've always pushed it off & now i know why!!! i had an awful reaction which can happen but not very often. i got hot, sweaty, dizzy & thought i was going to pass out... it was awful. they sent someone to run next door to get me ice water, daddy was putting wet paper towels on the back of my neck & mommy was holding me up. i was so thankful when it was done & got back in the car to go home & go straight to bed! it's safe to say since my eyes are healthy, i will NOT being doing that again any time soon!!!

on a positive note, livi did awesome & handled everything really well. she was a little nervous but you wouldn't have known the way she climbed up into that chair like a big girl. also she does not need glasses because she has perfect vision... yay for her!
