vbs: mega sports camp

this last week we've been vbs (vacation bible school): mega sports camp at one of my good friend's church. you could choose from soccer, flag football (boys only), basketball & cheer (girls only). livi & i signed up for cheer & it was awesome! everyday we had a new virtue that we worked on with a bible verse to go with it while working on cheers. we loved going & looked forward to what we were going to learn. we even had homework every night that we loved doing. we had local high school cheerleaders helping us out & even my good friend's mom was one of the coaches. tonight was the last night & all the parents came for the last 2 hours to see what all we've been learning.

 

everyday at the beginning of camp we entered our homework into a raffle to be picked to win a prize. tonight the very last night livi's name was pulled & she walked up to the stage (we couldn't believe she did it) all by herself to get her prize which was yahtzee.  

the cheer team closed out the whole night be doing some of the cheers we've been learning & a dance we worked super hard on!

also all week there has been a girl & boy coin collection box to be donated to missions. everyday whatever loose change we found lying around the house we'd bring in to donate. for the past 3 years the girl have raised more money than the boys & all the girl coaches get to pie all the boy coaches. well this year the girls WON again & it was so funny seeing the boy coaches getting pies in the face. there was pie flying everywhere!

this was by far the best vbs i've ever been too & we will for sure be going back next year!!!
